The national teams for the tri-series in New Zealand, the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Australia, 2022, and the eight T20I series against England were unveiled by the Pakistani Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday (today).


The players were revealed by Chief Selector Muhammad Wasim at a press conference held at PCB headquarters in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Muhammad Wasim, speaking to the media, stated, "We have a squad that can do well at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022. Because of this, we have placed our trust and confidence in practically the same group of athletes who have been on the T20I team since the UAE World Cup in 2021.
 
"These players have played well since November 2021, and as a result, we have won nine of our past 13 T20Is," he continued. We have committed in these cricket players, therefore it is only fair that they receive the chance to prove themselves in the World Cup, an occasion for that they have working hard to get ready.

Wasim stated that Shaheen Shah Afridi, who is anticipated to begin bowling early next month, was receiving positive reports for the board. "I'd like to welcome Aamir Jamal and Abrar Ahmed on receiving their first calls to the national team, along with Shan Masood. Aamir and Abrar have both been chosen because we think they have what it takes to serve Pakistan at the top level.
