England cricket team captain Jos Buttler promised on Thursday to make separate donations to families affected by the recent tragic floods in Pakistan. The English captain stated after the team's landing in Pakistan for the next T20I series that the team's thoughts are with Pakistan.

"We are aware of Pakistan's suffering as a result of the floods. In these trying times, we are grateful to be supporting cricket. As a group, we will give donations that will be doubled by the ECB in an effort to put in a little work.

Subsequently, the English Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed how the contributions would be made for the flood-affected people, adding that the players' decision to donate was endorsed by the Professionals Cricketers' Association (PCA) and Team England Player Partnership (TEPP) (PCA).

The funds will be used to support the DEC urgent appeal, and we all urge everyone who is capable to do so to do so. The ECB has been pleased to match the player's donation, according to a statement from the board.

Our hearts go out to everyone who has been impacted by Pakistan's tragic floods. We hope that the this series will help keep the incident in the public eye and inspire viewers in the UK and other countries to support those affected wherever they can.

The England Men's team has chosen to donate to the Catastrophes Emergency Committee appeal in aid of the humanitarian aid effort, and the ECB will also be doubling this donation, according to an ECB representative.
