ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated in his address to the country before of Independence Day that a nation cannot be independent without growth and self. "Most significantly, we will need to rekindle the enthusiasm that led to the formation of Pakistan," he added, adding that this desire will result in the development of a proud country.
According to figures issued by the SBP on Thursday, the nation's international reserves, which can cover less than 1.12 months of importation, were reported at $7,830.3 million, dropping $555 million from $8,385.4 on July 29.
After PTI Chairman Imran Khan was removed from office in April, the Shehbaz Sharif-led administration took over, and since then, the existing leaders have been working to prop up the economy.The nation has battled terrorism and faced many difficulties, but nowadays it is dealing with hatred and chaos, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz in his speech that was broadcast on television.
"Efforts have been made are now being made to split the nation, while unity is now being disturbed," he said, adding that the economic problem in the nation grew worse as a result of the misdoings of the previous administration.
The PM continued by saying that the country must search for methods to go ahead. He criticised the previous administration for forcing the nation to seek credit, saying, "Our govt has already been working night and day to preserve Pakistan from the economic catastrophe and default."
The prime minister noted that in order to address the nation's electricity shortfall, his administration has chosen to launch solar projects.
According to the PM, "There is no idea of Pakistan's liberation without economic liberty, hence we have resolved to move Pakistan toward economic prosperity."
PM Shahbaz criticised the previous administration and claimed that while Pakistan produced enough wheat to meet its own needs in 2017 and 2018, it is now need to purchase wheat. He also slammed the PTI-led government for not acquiring inexpensive LNG.
PM Shahbaz said, "Difficulties may be addressed with via economic security and pattern continued," adding that the country can advance only if it faces difficulties head-on.
