All provinces, AJK, and Gilgit-Baltistan will be covered by the government's civil armed forces throughout the month of Muharram.

To maintain security throughout the month of Muharram, the federal government has decided to set up a control centre for monitoring, Rana Sanaullah, the Interior Minister, stated Saturday.

The interior ministry said on Twitter that special security teams will be established to ensure the safety of the processions and majalis throughout Muharram.

To combat religious hate in Pakistan, Rana Sanaullah said that internet platforms will be closely controlled.

For the month of Muharram, the federal and provincial administrations are taking extra precautions to safeguard the safety of their citizens.

A civil armed forces deployment has been approved by the federal government for Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah chaired a high-level meeting on Friday in which the decision was made, according to a news statement.

Other major choices were made to ensure the safety of religious gatherings and procession routes throughout the month of Muharram.

During Majalis time on the 9th and 10th of Muharram, it was also advised that a steady and continuous power supply be ensured.

It was attended by a number of other law enforcement officials, including Interior Secretary Yousuf Naseem Khokhar and his deputy, Special Interior Secretary, as well as Punjab's Chief Secretary and FC Commandant.
